Smart Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box with App Control

We bought the meowant cat box and it has been a game changer for my picky cats! We have used it for almost 2 yrs with no problems until 2 weeks ago. Our cat used the box and walked away and when it started to move she ran back to check it out. It paused as it should but for some reason would not work again. It was stuck in paused mode. Obviously, we were upset until we reached out to customer service, who was wonderful, and Ian said he would send us a new cat box. We were super please and relieved since the automatic cat boxes are costly. We are super grateful that MEOWANT has such wonderful customer service and back up their products! I can't wait to have a working cat box again! My picky cat who loves a clean box everytime will be so happy again! Thanks MEOWANT!

My cats use it and it's 100 times better than scooping litter. I wish I had purchased it a self-cleaning litter box sooner. The only complaint I have is it is somewhat difficult to deep clean. I think there are newer models of Meowant that are easier to clean.

It has been 2 years that’s we’ve had this litter box and I love but hate it.I love that it’s easy and I don’t have to scoop poop anymore as well as it’s not ugly to look at and fits in the corner of our bathroom.But I don’t know how but litter always ends up underneath the box when we don’t fill it to the max line and how HARD it is to open the lid. When I first messaged them about it they said I had to tilt the box to have the litter fall out of the holes where the pins go to open and close the trash lid. So every time I open it to clean the box out, I have to smack it multiple times and if it doesn’t work I have to pick it up and tilt the box which can cause all the poop and pee to fall back in the box or go everywhere in that side pocket door.Every time I clean I even vacuum inside the litter trash compartment and still have to fight to open it. It can take me anywhere from 5 mins to 15 mins to open the door to remove the trash bag. It’s one reason I wouldn’t recommend this to someone.Having to flip the box and spill everything just to open the lid to clean is a very big downside to this litter box.I like the app but sometimes it can’t tell the difference between my cats if they are close in weight.

I’ve owned both the Litter‑Robot 4 (LR4) and the Meowant SC01, and after extended real‑world use, I strongly prefer the SC01. While the LR4 looks impressive on paper, the SC01 is simpler, more reliable, and better designed for everyday use.Major LR4 issue (high‑peeing cats):Inside the LR4 globe is a litter chute at approximately the 1:00 position. If your cat pees high or sprays slightly upward, urine can pass through this chute and:Run into the mechanical/electrical baseCollect in hard‑to‑clean areas, causing lingering odorLeak out of the base and onto the floorFor a premium‑priced unit, this was unacceptable.LR4 complexity & sensor issues:Sensors can get dirty (dust/cat hair) and trigger false “drawer full” alertsThe LR4 must be manually reset every time you empty the waste drawerThis is especially frustrating to explain to a pet sitterWhy the SC01 is better:Proper urine containment — no leaks into the baseNo false alertsNo reset required after emptying the drawerYou pull the drawer, replace the bag, and slide it back in — done.Multi‑cat performance:We have four male cats sharing one automatic litter box, and the SC01 handles this workload without issue. Cycling keeps up fine, odors are controlled, and maintenance has been completely manageable.Apps (fair comparison):The LR4 app is more polishedThe Airpet app is fully functional: identifies cats by weight, logs bathroom visits, and allows scheduled cleaning cyclesI use a mandatory cleaning every 3 hours, in addition to automatic cycles.Notes:The SC01 works perfectly without the appSC01 uses 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi onlyLR4 supports 5 GHz Wi‑FiBuild quality:The SC01’s fit and finish are surprisingly good. Nothing feels cheap. The LR4’s flip‑up bonnet feels flimsy and poorly fitted by comparison. Side by side, the SC01 is comparable—or better—despite costing far less.Final verdict:The LR4 has advanced features, but its internal chute design, sensor sensitivity, and complexity make it frustrating in real‑world use.The Meowant SC01 delivers better containment, less maintenance, solid build quality, and far better value.I would buy the SC01 again without hesitation—and I would not return to the Litter‑Robot.

This litter box has made life so much easier, especially with multiple cats. The automatic cleaning works well, and the odor control is a big improvement over traditional litter boxes. I also love the size and the added safety features—it feels very well thought out.I especially want to highlight the customer service. Even though my warranty was already up, they still offered to send me a replacement base, which I did not expect at all. It’s rare to see that kind of support, and it really made a difference in my overall experience.Highly recommend both the product and the company!
